The top 12 progressed to the final.<\/p>\n<p>The national record holder improved throw by throw, unfortunately his best and final throw of 19.71m was just short of qualifying.<\/p>\n<p>Favors becomes the seventh Raheny athlete to compete at the European championships in what has been a superb season. Favors set a new national record of 20.50 meters this summer. No doubt the we will see back at another major championship soon.<\/p>\n<p>The next Raheny athlete in action is Brian Fay in the 5,000 metres final at 8.08pm on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<a
