AXA Insurance and Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club are very happy to welcome you to the 39th AXA Raheny 5 Mile Road Race.<\/p>\n

It is our great pleasure to welcome you back to Raheny for what we hope will be another truly memorable day.<\/p>\n

We are delighted to welcome you back and we ask you to please help us by following these instructions before and during race day.<\/p>\n

Entries<\/h4>\n

Entries are available until Saturday January 28 here<\/a><\/p>\n

Number Collection<\/h4>\n

If you have selected to collect your race number, there are two options available.<\/p>\n

On Saturday you can collect your numbers from the Raheny Shamrock Clubhouse, old church Raheny village between 10am and 4pm.<\/p>\n

Registration for the four Juvenile races will also be accepted on Saturday. Entry fee is \u20ac5.<\/p>\n

On Race Day<\/h4>\n

You can collect numbers for the AXA Raheny 5 in the race HQ, Scoil Aine national School between 11am and 2pm on race.<\/p>\n

Juvenile race entries will be taken in the Cara Hall.<\/p>\n

Getting to Raheny<\/h4>\n

We highly recommend the use of public transport with Raheny served by;<\/p>\n

Dublin Bus routes H1, H2 and H3.<\/p>\n

On the Dart, Raheny is located Northbound on the Howth\/Malahide line from Dublin City Centre.<\/p>\n

The Dart station is located 400 meters from the race HQ.<\/p>\n

There is limited parking available in Raheny at St. Anne\u2019s Tennis Club with limited public parking also available in Raheny Village.<\/p>\n

N.B. Please note there is no parking available at Raheny Church due to a service.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Race Facilities<\/h4>\n

The Race HQ is Scoil Aine, On Google maps<\/a><\/p>\n

A Bag Drop is available at Scoil Aine<\/p>\n

Portaloo\u2019s will also be available at the start\/finish area.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Juvenile Races<\/h4>\n

There are four juvenile races on the day, which are listed below. Entries for these races are taken in the CARA Hall, located beside the race start.<\/p>\n

Entry fee is \u20ac5 and entries open on Sunday at 11am<\/p>\n

1:30pm \u2013 Girls 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n

1:40m \u2013 Boys 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n

1:50pm \u2013 Girls 8 \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n

2pm – boys 8 \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n

2:15pm \u2013 Boys & Girls 13 \u2013 16 years old \u2013 1 Mile<\/p>\n

All Participants receive a medal with prizes for the top three in each race<\/p>\n

\u00a0RACE Time<\/h4>\n

Please follow the instructions of the stewards and Gardai at all time. There are seven races on the card which are;<\/p>\n

1:30pm \u2013 Girls 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n

1:40m \u2013 Boys 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n

1:50pm \u2013 Girls 8 \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n

2pm – boys 8 \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n

2:15pm \u2013 Boys & Girls 13 \u2013 16 years old \u2013 1 Mile<\/p>\n

2:55pm \u2013 AXA Raheny 5 Wheelchair race<\/p>\n

3pm \u2013 2023 AXA Raheny 5 & Walkers START<\/p>\n

After you have completed the race please follow the steward\u2019s instructions, slowly and carefully moving through the finish area where you will collect you\u2019re goodie bag including the AXA Raheny 5 plaque.<\/p>\n

Prize Presentation<\/h4>\n

The prize presentation for all prizes will take place in Scoil Aine School hall from 4.30pm aprox.<\/p>\n

Prizes are available for the top 10 men and women. Top three runners in all age categories and the top three men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams and top three men\u2019s and women\u2019s masters teams<\/p>\n

How to watch<\/h4>\n

If you are a supporter, there are a number of spectator spots on the course where you will be able to see the race pass.<\/p>\n

Near 90 Fm will broadcast the race live.<\/p>\n
