Favors Sets New National Record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eric Favors set a new national of 20.66 metres to claim fifth place in the men&#8217;s shot put at the European throws cup in Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>Favours five attempts all landed over the 19.80-meter mark with three landing over the 20m mark.<\/p>\n<p>The throw was an improvement on Favors national outdoor record of 20.50m set in August 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Two national records in two days for Raheny athlete&#8217;s after Mark Smyth set a new national 200m indoor record yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>While, Niamh Fogarty made a welcome return to international competition after an injury hit 2022 throwing 49.65 metres to take 11th place in the women\u2019s discus B final.<\/p>\n<a class=\"synved-social-button
