Mark Smyth ran an excellent second leg as Ireland took victory in 4×100 metre relay at the European Games this morning.<\/p>\n

Ireland clocked 39.57 seconds to take victory with Israel second in 39.66 seconds.<\/p>\n

Smyth took the baton from Isreal Olatunde and clocked 9.27 for the second leg, before handing over to Christopher Sibanda and then to Joseph Ojewumi who brought Ireland home.<\/p>\n

Smyth’s time of 9.27 seconds was the second fastest of the day.<\/p>\n
