The Raheny Shamrock men\u2019s team built a big bronze statute at the national road relays yesterday.<\/p>\n

A sterling performance saw the men\u2019s team take bronze as Raheny Shamrock were declared club team in the championship.<\/p>\n

The senior men\u2019s team took bronze with silver for both the women\u2019s masters 35 and 50\u2019s team. While the men\u2019s 35 team took gold!<\/p>\n

The day began with the women\u2019s master\u2019s race comprising both the O\/35 and O\/50 races.<\/p>\n

A very strong performance from the Sportsworld who took gold, however a very strong Raheny performance drew silver with Fiona Roche, Kate Purcell and Siobhan Eviston taking the silver.<\/p>\n

MSB took bronze. While the B team of Zoe Quinn, Carmel Ward and Mary Walsh were an impressive eighth.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s 50 team secured a very impressive silver medal, the team of Brid Ni Chonaill, Annette Kealy and Marie Dolan behind a strong Ennis Track club team and ahead of road relay specialists Finn Valley.<\/p>\n

The senior women\u2019s gave a very brave performance and finished in the most heart breaking of positions in fourth place.<\/p>\n

DSD crossed the liffey to produce their strongest road relay performance in six years to take the \u00a0championship for the fifth time.<\/p>\n

While Tullamore Harriers produced their best ever performance to take silver ahead of a much fancied UCD team.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s team missing out on a medal by just seven seconds. The team was \u00a0Lucy Barrett, Niamh Kearney and Iseult O\u2019Donnell<\/p>\n

While there was good performances from the Raheny Shamrock B team of Caroline Kavanagh, Aine Crimin and Ella Beck in 17th<\/sup> place. While the C team of Cloadagh Foley, Orlaith Smyth, Orla Gilheaney finished 23rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

There was heart break also for the Men\u2019s masters 50 team of Niall power, Terry Keogh and Dave Woods who finished fourth. Whereas the B team of Keith Fleming, Mick Keogh, Mick Traynor took 12th<\/sup> place.<\/p>\n

Indeed it was the Men\u2019s 35 team who were celebrating an excellent gold medal David Kirwin firing out a good first leg to be followed by Kieran Kelly and a brilliant final run by Aidan Jones.<\/p>\n

The men has some 30+ seconds to spare on Clonliffe Harriers with Drogheda & district third. There was a very good performance from the Raheny Shamrock B team of Rory O\u2019Sullivan, David Jackson, and Niall O\u2019Neill in sixth place.<\/p>\n

While the C team of Brian Sexton, Alan Foley and John Clarke took a solid 12th<\/sup> place.<\/p>\n

The final race of the day was an intriguing senior men\u2019s battle.<\/p>\n

Cillian Kirwan and Kieran Kelly put the team in a very strong position. However Clonliffe produced the experience international and former AXA Raheny 5 winner Effrem Gidey.<\/p>\n

Shane Spring and Juan Ignacio Pena to secure bronze behind Clonliffe and a strong Ennis Track team. The first time since 2021 the men have made the podium.<\/p>\n

In a very competitive race, there was good perormances from the B team of Marcus O’Sullivan, Eoin O’Dwyer, Rob Frewan and Kevin Byrne in 18th<\/sup> place and the C team of Dylan O’Brien, Seamus O’Malley, Graham O’Dwyer and Ciaran Doherty in 25th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n
