Helen Buckley\u2019s women\u2019s team took sixth place in the National track and field league preliminary round, which should be enough to make the final.<\/p>\n

There was full points on the day from Lucy Barrett in the 3000m and Niamh McCorry in the shot put gaining 17 points each<\/p>\n

While, Tara Meier took second place and 15 points in the 100m Hurdles. There was 13 points for Niamh McCorry in the Javelin and 12 points for Victoria Ledder in the hammer.<\/p>\n

In the race walk Victoria Leder scored 11 points, while Zoe Quinn scored 11 points in the 1500 metres. Staying on the track Lara Seeberg scored 10 points in the 400 metres.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Captain Helen Buckley doubled up to take 10.5 points in the pole vault and nine points in the Weight for distance.<\/p>\n

There was seven points each for Roisin Ingle in the discus and Ella Keyes in the high jump. The 4×100 relay team took six points and there was five points each for Isabele Twomey in the 200m and Abena Afari in the 100m.<\/p>\n

The team scored a total of 174.5 points for sixth place. DSD topped the table with 278.5 points.<\/p>\n

Things for Jamie Davis men\u2019s team didn\u2019t quiet go to plan but there was some very good performances from Cillian Kirwan in the 800 metres taking 16 points<\/p>\n

While Oisin McCorry in the 400m hurdles took 15 points. Also taking 15 points were the 4x100m relay team. Taking 14 points in the 400 metres was Tinaye Mukanya.<\/p>\n

Whereas 11 point arrived for Dylan O\u2019Brien in the 5,000 metres and David Moore in the pole vault. \u00a0Conall O\u2019Toole landed 10 points in the 200m.<\/p>\n

While there was nine points in the high jump for Eric Salmon and in the Weight for distance for David Moore. Conor Duffy took six points in the 100 metres and Jamie Davis landed four points in the shot put.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s team finished 14th<\/sup> overall and will contest the division one final. Results from the preliminary round are here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The national track and field league final takes place on Sunday July 28 in Tullamore.<\/p>\n
