Mick Clohisey and Kevin Dooney competed in the senior men\u2019s European Cross Country Championship on Sunday afternoon in a warm and extremely fast course in Chia.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was a hard day\u2019s work for the Irish team with Mick coming through the field to finish as Ireland\u2019s second scorer in 43rd position. Paul Pollock was first Irish man home in 36th<\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin found the heat and the pace a lot more testing on his senior international debut and came home in 69th<\/span><\/sup> place. <\/span><\/p>\n

There are plenty more good days to come for Dooney who will without doubt produce some great performance in the green singlet.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Irish team finished overall in 10th<\/span><\/sup> place a one place improvement on last year\u2019s performance of 11th<\/span><\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n
