Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club are delighted to announce that the AXA Raheny 5 mile road race has been award Bronze label status by World Athletics.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are truly honoured to have the AXA Raheny 5 awarded bronze label status after invitation from World Athletics\u201d says AXA Raheny 5 race director Dave Hooper.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe AXA Raheny 5, has long been established as the leading five mile road race in Ireland. To have this recognised by World Athletics is an achievement we are very honoured by\u201d added Hooper.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be invited to be part of the World Athletics Road Race series, as World athletics recognised the AXA Raheny 5 history and prestigious is a great honour to our members and the tireless effort we have made to make the AXA Raheny 5, the leading road race in Ireland\u201d added Hooper.<\/p>\n

As part of the Bronze Label status, World Ranking points will be available to podium placed athletes at the 2025 AXA Raheny 5 on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 2025 AXA Raheny 5 takes place this Sunday at 3pm. The race is sold out with the best of Ireland top middle distance runners competing.<\/p>\n

Entries remain open for the AXA Raheny 5 juvenile races, which take place as the undercard.<\/p>\n
