{"id":9334,"date":"2025-06-11T08:00:22","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T07:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=9334"},"modified":"2025-06-11T13:09:28","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T12:09:28","slug":"cardiac-screening-programme-scheduled-for-october-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=9334","title":{"rendered":"Cardiac Screening Programme Scheduled for October 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Thanks to the club members who agreed to avail of a mobile Cardiac Screening Programme delivered by Advanced Medical Services (AMS).<\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The testing will take place in the clubhouse on Saturday, October 4.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The screening, which takes 20 minutes, can help identify people with risk of underlying cardiac abnormalities\/heart disease. But like all screening programmes, it cannot guarantee 100% of picking up all cardiac issues including coronary artery disease.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The programme mainly targets people aged between 12-35 years. However, people over this age can benefit from the screening as well.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The screening consists of a:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Personal &amp; Family History Questionnaire<\/li>\n<li>Physical examination with Medical Doctor<\/li>\n<li>Body Max Index (BMI) measurement<\/li>\n<li>Blood pressure reading<\/li>\n<li>12 lead (resting) Electrocardiogram<\/li>\n<li>Cardiologist Report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The individual fee for the Cardiac Screening service is \u20ac79 (the Club doesn\u2019t receive any % of this fee).
