Orla Comerford stunned a packed New Delhi stadium to become World Para-Athletics Champion.<\/p>\n

Comerford powered over the line in a time of 11.88 seconds to win her first World Championship medal, gold.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels amazing!\u201d declared Comerford. \u201cI feel like all season this was my goal, it\u2019s not one you want to put out there and be like I want gold I want to be champion but I kind of kept my head down I knew that I had to work hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Comerford has been going from strength to strength since the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, where she took T13 100m bronze in 11.94 seconds.<\/p>\n

Comerford is set to take part in the 200 metres with the heats scheduled for Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A very big congratulations to Orla on her World Championship and we look forward to supporting her on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
