Ian Conroy became World Champion at the World Mountain Championships in Susa, Italy. Ian finished third overall in 1:09:20 but was first O35 runner to take the title.
On the domestic front Freddy Sittuk was second in the Longford Marathon in 2:42:03. Freddy also won the Warriors run in Sligo on Saturday. Cillian O’Leary was third in Tinryland 4 mile in 20:19.13 while Annette Kealy was second female in 24:21.63.
Feidhlim Kelly was winner of the Malahide parkrun in 16:22. Other finishers were Robert Frewen 17:35, Wes Grant 17:44, Sean Flynn 19:29. David Kirwin was winner in Marlay Park in 16:52 with Colum O’Leary second in 17:01. Alan Foley was the clubs first finisher in Father Collins in 19:13 with Witek Lochowski running 19:24 and Paul Larkin running 21:28. Eoin Fegan ran 23:08 in Hartstown. Conall Murphy was second in St Annes in 17:32 while Lucy Barrett was first female in 20:01.
