Ian Conroy finished 46th at the World Mountain running championships in Bulgaria. Ian ran 1:10:53 for the 12.5km course. At the Great North run Mary Coghlan ran 1:50:18 while Mary Purdue Smyth ran 1:53:32 and Nicola Mooney ran 1:54:05.

Simon Devenney won the St Annes parkrun in 17:00 while Catriona Costello was first female in 20:24. Other finishers were Dan Scully 17:22, Barry Lennon 17:47, Mark Murphy 17:56, Wes Grant 18:00, Alan O’Flynn 18:28, Keith Fleming 19:33, Keith Comiskey 20:10, Adrienne Atkins 20:46, Des Lyons 21:24, Aileen Hooper 22:18, Mary Lynch 22:45, Rachel Ormond 22:54, Connor Jennings 23:23, Amanda Langan 24:14, Sinead Lyons 25:31, Sue O’Toole 26:06, Valerie Hand 28:40. Eoin Brady was winner in Malahide in 16:55 while Annette Kealy was first female in 18:38. Other finishers were Robert Frewen 17:52, Paul Frewen 18:57, Steven Rowe 29:08. Carl Conroy was winner in Father Collins in 17:04 with Alan Foley second in 18:45 and Witek Lochowski fourth in 19:32. Dave Gargan was second in Donabate in 19:10. Niall Power was third in Ardgillan in 20:17. Damien Martin was second in Bushy Park parkrun in 17:09 while Nora Byrne ran 22:59.
