Brian Fay took 22nd place at the European Cross Country Championship in Brussels. Another very muddy competition where Cormac Dalton was first Irish man home in eighth place. The Irish men’s team took eighth place overall. A very big congratulations to the Irish men’s junior team who took home gold, led home by bronze medalist Nick Criggs. Congratulations to the Irish team on today’s performance.
There is now just seven weeks to the 40th AXA Raheny 5 which takes place on Sunday January 28th 2024 at 3pm. We require 100 plus marshals to ensure this race runs smoothly. Works in the old church clubhouse have completed ahead of schedule. As such, the clubhouse is now re-opened to full activity from today, Tuesday December fifth. Please be advised that some items were moved from their normal position during the works process. We plan to have all items back in their pre-works configuration over the next few days.
Kieran Kelly took third place at the Seeley Cup on Saturday in Belfast. Kelly racing in his first 10k clocked 30 minutes 20 seconds. Olympian Paul Pollock won out in 29:59 with Annadale’s Neil Johnston second in 30:19.
