North Leinster Schools Day One – Results

The opening day of the North Leinster Schools track and field championships took place in Santry Stadium with Raheny Shamrock Athlete’s gathering 11 medals. There were gold medals for, Conall O’Toole of Scoil Chaitríona in the senior boys 400 metres, Kim O’Hare of Sutton Park School in the senior girls triple jump. Clohisey Claims Cobh 10

Mick Clohisey won the Sonia O’Sullivan Cobh 10 on Saturday in a convincing 49 minutes 23 seconds. Clohisey was some five minutes and 53 seconds ahead of second placed Colin Merrit. Feidhlim Kelly took fourth place in 57 minutes 40 seconds. Graham O’Dwyer won the Waterworks parkrun in Belfast clocking 17:07. Kelly Sixth in Clonliffe Two

Feidhlim Kelly was just off the podium place at the famous Clonliffe Two Mile on Thursday evening. Kelly clocked nine minutes 51 seconds for sixth place just 29 seconds off Peter Somba who won out in nine minutes 22 seconds.
