Robert Frewen was the fastest Raheny athlete at this week’s park run when he won the Malahide event in 17 minutes 20 seconds. Frewen was seven seconds clear of second place Seanie Dalton. Mark Smyth has secured the B qualification standard for next summer’s European under 20 Championships. Smyth posted 21.74 seconds over 200 metres, finishing third in the national track and field league final in Tullamore last August.
