Niamh Kearney took fifth place in the Armagh international 3k posting nine minutes 14 seconds. Alexandra Bell (England) won out in 9:02 with Cari Hughes (Wales) second in 9:03. Third place went to Cali Thackery in 9:12. Fourth place was Megan Davies in 9:13 with Kearney fifth a second behind. In the men’s international 5K, Kieran Kelly posted 14 minutes 14 seconds. Henry McLuckie won the international race in 13:37.

Eric Favors broken his own Irish indoor shot put record with a superb throw of 20.16m finishing third in a top class field in Germany on Sunday. Favors becomes the first Irish athlete to throw over 20 meters indoors for the shot put. This is an improvement on 19.99 metres thrown by Travers on January 20th. Mick Clohisey took second place at the Trim 10 mile on Sunday, clocking 49 minutes 55 seconds. Yared Derese won out in 49.04.
