Raheny Shamrock stalwart Paddy Fay has been honoured at the National Athletics Awards with the services to coaching award. Brian Fay has been selected on the Irish team for next month’s European cross country championship in Turin. Fay has been in excellent form this cross country season winning the NCAA West conference and finishing 13th at the national NCAA. A tough day at the national cross country championships in Rosapenna, Co. Donegal, the first time since 2014 that the championships took place outside Dublin. It was lucky number 13 for Brian Fay in the NCAA cross country championship in Stilwater, Oklahoma. Fay followed up his west regional title with a 13th-place finish, earning his second-straight cross country All-America honour.
