Fogarty Takes English Under-23 Silver

Niamh Fogarty took discus silver at the English under-23 championship in Bedford on Saturday proudly wearing the Raheny singlet in England. Fogarty throwing 50.99 metres. Fogarty was just 1.29 metres off gold won by Divine Oladipo and some four metres clear of bronze. Brian Fay Sets New Club Steeplechase Record

Brian Fay set a new club 3,000m steeplechase record when he finished sixth at the Folksam GP in Sollentuna, Denmark tonight. Fay posted eight minutes 45.60 seconds, smashing Ben Brady’s 27-year-old club record of 8:54.30. The result moves Fay to 13th in the All-time Irish rankings. The race was won outright by Australia’s Ben Buckingham in 8:31.38.

Clohisey Lands Irish Runner Five & National Title

Mick Clohisey landed the Irish runner five mile title and the new five mile national road championship in a comfortable 24 minutes and two seconds.
