Maher, Farrelly and L’Estrange set for Celtic Games

Sean Maher, Michael Farrelly and Sean L’Estrange have all been selected for the Irish team to play in the Celtic Games. The Celtic Games takes place in Grangemouth, Scotland on Saturday 4th August. The teams will be competing in the Under-16 and Under-18 age groups. National Medals and Records on Day 2

Club Records fell and eight medals were collected on day two of the National track and field championships in Santry Eric Favors took silver while breaking Liam Kennedy’s 37-year-old shot putt record of 15.24 metres. Mick Clohisey wrapped up preparations for next month’s European Championship landing silver in the national 10,000 metres. Clohisey posted 29 minutes 34.89 seconds for silver, just behind another European Championship bound marathoner Stephen Scullion who clocked 29:34.89.
