Clohisey Third In Portlaoise

Mick Clohisey took third place at the Streets of Portlaoise 5K posting 14 minutes 48 seconds. Clohisey was eight seconds behind the race winner DSD’s Hiko Tonosa. The race was the first part of the new Kia Race series which takes place throughout the year. Adopted Laois woman Aileen Cooke posted 22:18 over the Portlaoise course. The final weekend of cross-country action in the 2017/18 ran its traditional climax as both the All-Ireland schools and IUAA cross country championships took place. Frewen Third in Carlingford

Robert Frewen took third place in the Carlingford half marathon posting a new PB of 76:24.
