Comerford Wins In The Netherlands

Orla Comerford scored another big win on the international stage, this time at the FBK Games in the Netherlands. Comerford clocked a season’s best 11.96 seconds to win the Para Athletics Women’s 100m. The time was just 0.06 seconds off Comerford’s personal best. Very well done to Orla and here’s to another big season.

Kearney Sets New Club Steeplechase Record

Niamh Kearney set a new club 3,000m steeplechase record when winning the British Milers Club meet in Birmingham on Saturday. Kearney posted 10 minutes 8.66 seconds for victory well clear of Alexandra Joyce in 10.14.50 and Roisin Treacy in third who posted 10.19.65. On Friday, Kieran Kelly won the Foyle Valley Five Mile classic in 24 minutes 29 seconds. Kelly was four seconds clear of Letterkenny’s Danny Mooney.
