Freddy Sittuk was winner of the Derry half marathon. On a hilly course, Freddy won in 1:07:36. Mark Kirwan won the Lakes 10k in 31:14. Other finishers were Declan Robinson 37:18, Helen Carr 43:10 and Denise Kelleher 49:11. Annette was first female in the Portmarnock beach 10k. Annette finished in 39:21. Kate Purcell ran 40:03 while Darren Keane ran 40:31.
The launch of our Kincora2Passage charity event is happening this Thursday (8th September) from 8pm in the White House, Baldoyle. Kincora2Passage will honor our dear friend and club member Ronan Walsh as well as raising money for numerous charities including St Francis Hospice Raheny. Ian Conroy became World Champion at the World Mountain Championships in Susa, Italy. Ian finished third overall in 1:09:20 but was first O35 runner to take the title. On the domestic front Freddy Sittuk was second in the Longford Marathon in 2:42:03. Freddy also won the Warriors run in Sligo on Saturday.
