There was great success for Raheny athletes at the All-Ireland Schools cross country championship on Saturday. The St. Paul’s College Raheny junior boys team took silver. The team included three shamrock’s Conrad Latham, Odhran Fidegon and Donagh Kirwan. The team clocked 138 points and were just seven points behind gold medallist’s CBS Naas. February is chocker block with race fixtures for our juvenile Shamrocks. The 12th and 25th Feb saw the u9-u14s represent the club with passion and pride. The Leinster secondary schools cross country took place on Wednesday February 8th in Santry Demesne. Qualifiers from schools all over north, east, west, and south Leinster took to the line to represent their schools, with over 20 young Shamrocks among them. The top-15 individuals in each race, plus the top three school teams qualify to represent their schools in the All-Ireland schools cross country in Waterford on Saturday March 11th….
The first weekend in February was a busy one for 34 Raheny Shamrock teenagers. The national indoor arena in Abbotstown was the venue for the Dublin indoor juvenile championship.
