Brennan Lands Dublin Bronze

Laura Brennan landed 5,000 metre Dublin bronze held as part of the Dublin Graded series in Irishtown stadium on Wednesday evening.

Brennan clocked 19 minutes 39 point 74 seconds for third in a race that was won by Kilcoole’s Una Britton in 17 minutes 16 point 79 seconds.

Lynne Hennessy of Rathfarnham took the silver medal is 18:50.15.

John Dunne took fifth place in the men’s race posting 15 minutes 28 point 87 seconds. The race was won by Liffey Valley’s Peter Arthur in 14:57.50.

There was another good showing from athletes with Orla Lame posting 15.62 seconds in the 100 metres and Kim O’Hare clocking 13.24 seconds.

Liam Sheehan took second place in the 100 metre B1 race posting 11.9 seconds just behind Donore Harriers Conor Fox who posted 11.84 seconds.

Isreal Akinnroye posted 12.88 seconds in the B2 race with Bill Oshafi posting 12.5 seconds in the C race.

The next Dublin graded race takes place on July 19 in Morton Stadium. The programme includes 200m, 1500m, high jump, pole vault, hammer and shot.

There is also a DM (Distance Medley) Mixed Relay involving legs, 800m, 400m, 800m, 400m.
