Mick Clohisey continued his preparations for the World Championship Marathon with a fast victory in the Roscommon 10 mile on Saturday.
Clohisey sped away from training partner Sean Hehir to take victory in 48 minutes 47 seconds for the fastest 10 mile victory on Irish soil this year.
The margin of victory was a full 66 seconds between Clohisey and Hehir with Dunboyne’s Peter Samba third nearly five minutes behind Clohisey.
While on Sunday night Sean O’Driscoll added an international victory to his CV winning his 100 metre heat in the Brussels Grand Prix in 10.99 seconds.
