Joseph O’Donoghue produced a dominant on a humid evening to win the seventh round of the Lord Mayor Series in a fast nine minutes 55 seconds.
Junior Dave Brophy powered around the two mile circuit to grab second place in 10 minutes 26 seconds with Graham Dwyer securing a personal best of 10 minutes 34 seconds.
Anne Marie Woods secured victory in an extremely competitive ladies race with a sprint finish to hold off Elaine McNulty in 12 minutes 31 seconds, just five seconds clear of McNulty.
Liffey Valley’s Linda Spratt took the bronze medal in 14 minutes seven seconds.

The next race in the series is the Peter Doody 2 Mile, Peter was a member of the club who was killed in Spain in 2003. Since 2004 the Peter Doody 2 Mile Road Race has been part of the Lord Mayor Series.
