Kevin Dooney took fourth place in the Autumn Open International cross country at the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus.
Dooney finished 21 seconds behind race winner DSD’s Hiko Tonosa with Kenyan Kipsang Kimosop second and City of Derry’s Adam Kirk-Smith third.
Conor Dooney took fifth place some 10 seconds behind Kevin Ian Conroy took ninth place overall and finished sixth in the M1 category while Brian Leahy finished 12th and eight M1.
David Kirwan took 29th place and eighth in the M2 category with Rory O’Sullivan 32nd and ninth M2. Joseph O’Donoghue took 47th place with Donal Foley finishing 58th.
Zoe Quinn took 12th place overall in the women’s race, which was won outright by national cross country champion Shona Heaslip.
Quinn also finished seventh in the F2 Category. Maria O’Sullivan took 22nd place, Karen Crossan took 34th place with Blaithin Sheil 39th.
Orla Gormley took 44th place and third in the F4 category with Adrienne Atkins 59th and eighth in the F4 category.
While Mick Clohisey finished the Great South Run in fifth place posting 49 minutes two seconds the race was won by Britain’s Chris Thompson in 48 minutes 32 seconds.
