The Raheny Open Mile incorporating round 11 of the Winter Road Race League takes place on Wednesday April 22nd at 8pm.
The Raheny Open Mile takes place over the course used for the National Road Relays which take place on Sunday April 26.
The name of the race dates back in it’s 35-year history. At that stage the club hosted just one road race which was “open” to non-club members, the Raheny 5. The Raheny Open Mile became part of the 1991/92 Winter League.
Since that date it has remained as the closing race of the Winter League and since 2000, the final race before the national road relays.
