Clohisey and Cullen win Raheny 5 titles

Local favourite Mick Clohisey won the AXA Raheny 5 this afternoon. On a new course and with windy conditions he clocked 24:05. Foyle Valley’s Scott Rankin was second in 24:24 with Ennis Track’s Rory Chesser third in 24:33. Sligo AC’s Mary Cullen again stole the show  to win the women’s race in 26:16 and finish a remarkable 17th overall. Caroline Crowley (Crusaders AC) was second in 27:06 with Deirdre Byrne (Sli Culainn) third in 27:46. Raheny won the men’s team title while Crusaders won the women’s team. The race attracted over 2700 runners and 100 walkers. Thanks to everyone who contributed to a wonderful day.
