Bermingham vaults to University Silver

Conor Bermingham picked up Pole Vault university silver at the IUAA indoor championships in AIT on Friday.

Bermingham representing Trinity College vaulted to a best of 4.10 metres and was only beaten on count back by DCU’s Shane Power.

Power and Bermingham both missed out at 4.20 metres, however Power had cleared his first attempt at 4.10 metres and was duly awarded gold.

Elsewhere at the IUAA indoor championship, Sean O’Driscoll took sixth place in heat three of the 60 metres clocking 7.16 seconds.

Dylan Kirwan took third place in heat six of the 400 metres posting 53.02 seconds and Orla Comerford took sixth place in heat two of the 60 meters in 8.01 seconds.

Meanwhile Daire Bermingham took ninth place over 3,000 meters in the Gent International posting 8.33.37.
