Clohisey makes Berlin Grade

Mick Clohisey set a new personal best as he confirmed his place on the Irish team for Berlin 2018.

Clohisey clocked two hours 14 minutes and 14 minutes and 49 seconds for 12th place overall. The time is well inside the Athletics Ireland standard of 2:17.00 for the European Championships in Berlin.

The race was won outright in a new course record of 2:08.18 by Kenya’s Dickson Tuwei Kipsang.

Elsewhere Declan Robinson took third place in the Wicklow Hospice 10K posting 37:04, the race was won by Bohermeen’s Ronan Wogan in 34:59.

While Simon Ryan took second place in the Duleek & District 5 kilometre posting 15 minutes 50 seconds.
