Weekend Round-up

Colm Bourke set a new club indoor record in the long jump while competing in Belgium yesterday. After two fouls Colm jumped 7.29m to already extend his club record. 24 hours before, COlm won the IUAA indoor championships with a best of 7.12m. Aisling Drumgoole also set a new club record in the 400m as she finished fourth in 57.01. Eoin Strutt was fourth in the 800m in 2.01.20 while Andrew McMorrow ran 2.05.80. Conor Bermingham was fifth in the pole vault with 4.00m while Laura Brennan ran 5.20.90 in the 1500m.

Dermot Gorman was fifth in the Donadea 50km in 3.22.27. At the Enniscorthy 10k, Simon Ryan was fourth in 32:50 while Brian Leahy was 8th in 34.06, Dave Kirwin 10th in 34:14 and Dave Grange 26th in 36:2. The quartet won the team prize. Dave Brady ran 55.10. Simon Devenney won St Annes parkrun in 16:52 with Dave Grange second in 18:13. Orla Manley was first female in 20:52. Other finishers were Declan Robinson 18:37, John Freir 19:51, John Fennel 20:05, Gerard Kelsh 20:28, Sean McGoldrick 21:25, Aileen Hooper 21:37, Ivan Fitzpatrick 22:40, Christy Reilly 23:18, Bernie Manley 23:29, Connor Jennings 23:44, Fiona Coyle 25:48, Sue O’Toole 26:31, June Comiskey 27:33. Feidhlim Kelly was winner in Malahide in 17:17. Other finishers were Annette Kealy 18:31, Seamus Rooney 18:57, Brian Quigley 20:03, Helen Carr 20:16, Denise Kelleher 22:39, Eddie Harrison 23:09, Steven Rowe 23:49. Alan Foley ran 20:03 in Father Collins. Other finishers were Liz Keary 24:20, Rachel Markey 24:24 and Valerie Hand 27:06.
