It is with great sadness we in Raheny Shamrock have learned of the loss of Oisín McCabe who passed away last Friday.
Oisín was a leaving cert student in Gaelcholaiste Reachrann with a passion for music, swimming and running.
Oisín was a big fan of parkrun, starting with junior parkruns, and then progressing to senior parkruns, and was chuffed the first time he broke the 20 minute barrier for 5k when he was 15, a huge milestone at a young age. Oisín was always one to give back, spending his Gaisce volunteering at the junior event in 4th year. Not afraid to try new things his next venture was mountain running, something he took to really well.
Oisín will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew him.
Raheny Shamrock would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to his parents Niamh and Mick, his brothers Cormac and Seán, and his wide circle of family and friends.
