Leinster School’s T&F Day Two

Raheny Shamrock athlete’s grabbed six medals on day two of the Leinster schools track & field championships in Santry.

Sutton Park School’s Kim O’Hare took gold in the senior triple jump posting 11.14 metres. While Holy Faith Clontarf’s Aoibhinn McGoldrick took silver in the senior 800 metres posting 2:15.25.

At the intermediate grade there was gold for Belvedere College’s Scot Meaney in the long jump with a best jump of 6.27 metres.

While there was 200m gold and 100m silver for St.Fintan’s High School Sutton’s Michael Farrelly, with Sean L’Estrange making it a St.Fintan’s 1-2 in the 200 metres.

Sean Maher of St. David’s CBS won the Intermediate Hammer with a best of 53.12 metres with Belvedere College’s Hugh Flood taking silver with a best of 48.19 metres.

While Daniel Beveridge of St.David’s Artane took bronze in the senior discus with a best of 36.15 metres.

Tirona Nic Dhonaill of Gaelcolaiste Reachrinn took silver in the 3,000m senior race. Triona with Aisling Carroll, Caoimhe Boylan and Caolinn Ni Bhriain took bronze in the 4×300 relay.

Meanwhile Belvedere College’s Fionn McGrane took triple jump with a best jump of 12.40 metres.

While Glenn Atkins of St.Fintan’s just missed out on a medal in the senior triple jump and 400m hurdles taking fourth in both events.
