What a magnificent Saturday morning it was for Raheny Shamrock AC members, as the parkrunniest club in the country took to Parkruns both near and far! From our local Dublin spots to events across Ireland and even overseas, the green and white was proudly represented.
It’s truly inspiring to see so many members embrace the joy of Parkrun, whether pushing for PBs, enjoying a social run, or simply starting their weekend in the best possible way. This week brought some truly outstanding performances, with several Raheny Shamrocks claiming top honours and podium finishes!
🏆 This Week’s Winners
A huge congratulations to our Parkrun winners this week:
- Robert FREWEN stormed to victory, finishing 1st overall at Mountbellew Forest Parkrun!
- Annette KEALY showed incredible form to finish as 1st female (and 9th overall) at Malahide Parkrun!
- Fiona ROCHE was also a fantastic 1st female (and 5th overall) at Tramore Valley, Cork Parkrun!
🥈 Podium Finishers
We also had a fantastic showing on the podium with several athletes securing a top-three finish:
- Colm DELANEY: 2nd place overall at Poppintree Parkrun.
- Alan FOLEY: 2nd place overall at Father Collins Parkrun.
- Owen JOYCE: 2nd place overall at Templemore Parkrun.
- Michael MCENERY: 3rd place overall at Tymon Parkrun.
- The O’KEEFFE sisters: Deirbhile and Seona had a superb outing at Fairview Parkrun, finishing 2nd and 3rd female respectively!
- Sarah KELLY: 2nd place female at Oranmore Parkrun.
- Aisling AHERN: 3rd female at Southwark Parkrun!

Beyond the podium, we had many other excellent performances breaking into the top 10:
- John CLOHISEY: 8th place overall at St Anne’s Parkrun.
- Declan WHOOLEY: 4th overall at Oranmore Parkrun.

- Lorna CHRISTIE (Poppintree) – 7th Female
- Caitriona COSTELLO (St Anne’s) – 6th Female
- Rebekah ATKINS (St Anne’s) – 9th Female
- Aine CRIMIN (Malahide) – 9th Female

A staggering 72 Raheny Shamrock AC members participated across 13 different Parkrun events this Saturday! This is a fantastic turnout and shows the incredible enthusiasm within our club for community running.
