Martin Kelly led home a bunch of runners at the St.Brigids 5k in Castleknock, finishing sixth in 18 minutes 32 seconds.
Others who ran were, Bennie Manley 24:18, Anne Reede 25:03 and Helena Corcoran 25:08.
At the Berlin Marathon Brian Leahy clocked 2:46.39, which while a very good run was outside Leahy’s target. Paul Larkin posted 3:44.59 and Mick Kehoe 2:58.40.
Freddy Sittuk won the Kilmore 10k in 32:30, some nine seconds clear of Niall Shiels of St. Killian’s.
That appears to be it, a small bunch of Shamrock’s competing at senior level this weekend, along with a good group at the Dublin Juvenile league.
