Sarah O’Neill is the Green Officer for Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club and a member of the club’s Executive Committee. A dedicated runner for over 20 years, Sarah has completed 11 marathons along with numerous races across half marathon, 10 mile, 10k and 5k distances. She joined RSAC in 2019 and became part of the club’s first Green Team in 2022.
The Green Team was established to communicate, encourage and support members in adopting simple, effective sustainability actions within club activities, while also building awareness of climate change, biodiversity loss, and their impacts. In 2024, Sarah was elected Green Officer, where she continues to lead and promote the club’s environmental initiatives and commitment to a more sustainable future.
