Dooney Takes Great Ireland Run Silver

Kevin Dooney collected silver at the Great Ireland Run which also doubled as the national 10k road race on Sunday

Dooney posted 30 minutes 44 seconds, behind DSD’s Hiko Tonosa who won with an injection of pace in the final kilometre.

Dooney performance helped the men’s team to bronze with Michael McMahon, John Dunne and Dermot Gorman posting a combined 2:10.24, less than a minute off silver.
