It is with great sadness Raheny Shamrock AC has learnt of the passing of Joe McDonald RIP.
Joe was a key member of Raheny Shamrock both as a runner and tireless work behind the scenes during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.

Joe was a stalwart member of the Sub 40 training group which played a pivotal role in developing Raheny Shamrock’s reputation as one of the leading marathon clubs in the country.
A talented athlete, he represented both the club and Dublin Corporation in many events. His sharp wit and infectious sense of humour livened up many long training runs on a Sunday morning.
Joe died recently after a short illness. His month’s mind Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph the Artisan Church, Bonnybrook on Saturday August 1 at 7pm.
