Smyth Takes 200 Metre Silver

Mark Smyth took national senior 200m silver as he clocked a personal best of 20.97 seconds.

Smyth continued his powerful season to finish second behind former European junior medallist for Great Britain Leon Reid.

Reid clocked 20.79 seconds for gold with Smyth powerfully close behind taking silver in 20.97. Clonliffe’s Marcus Lawler took bronze crossing the line in 20.99 seconds.

Smyth had qualified for the final winning his heat in 21.30 seconds.

Meanwhile Kim O’Hare finished fourth in the triple jump with a best jump of 11.11 metres. Saragh Buggy took gold with a best of 13.28m. Silver went to Grace Furlong 12.37 and bronze to Aisling MacHugh in 11.39m.
