Wednesday night saw two club records broken at the Night of sprints at St. Mary Peter’s track in Belfast.
Cillian Kirwan set a new club 800 metre record when he finished second in 1:46.87, John Fitzsimons of Kildare won out in 1:46.82 with European U20 1500m champion Cian McPhillips third in 1:47.83.
Mark Smyth set a new club 200 metre record when he won out in 20.91 seconds ahead of Emerald’s Paul Costelloe in 21.42.
Smyth also won the 100 metres in 10.46.
Meanwhile Charlotte Wingfield posted 11.97 seconds to finish second in the women’s 100m a race won by Aoife Lynch of Donore Harriers in 11.66 seconds.
