Daniel Stone powered to national novice cross country bronze, leading the Raheny men to bronze.
Stone continued his impressive season this time with a swift 6km to beat East Cork’s Paul Hartnett to bronze and was less than 100m off gold medallist Liam Harris of Togher. Craughwell’s Jamie Fallon took silver.
In a very strong performance from the Raheny men Gavin Eccles took eighth place, Stephen Fay 28th and Luke Murphy 37th to give Raheny 76 points and bronze.
Leevale had taken gold with 52 points, just one point ahead of Craughwell.

There were strong runs from a competitive Raheny team with Dylan O’Brien 44th, David Kirwin 56th, Robert Frewen 67th, Graham O’Dwyer 70th, Brian Sexton 74th, Graham Ahearne 81st and Ger Redmond 99th.
In the women’s race Aisling Ahern ran a strong race to finish 15th and lead the team of Lucy Barrett 19th, Orla Manley 67th and Laura Brennan 87th to sixth place.
