Sophie Becker helped team Ireland to a national 4x400m relay record on day of the World indoor championships in Belgrade.
Becker put Ireland just outside the qualifying mark of second place at the first hand-over with Roisin Harrison (Emerald AC), Sharlene Mawdsley (Newport AC) and Phil Healy (Bandon AC) unable to secure qualification.
The Irish team did post a new national indoor record of 3:30.97 to take third place in heat two just 0.06 seconds behind Jamaica and automatic qualification.
Very well done to Sophie and the Irish team a very big year ahead no doubt.
