2022 Battle Of Clontarf 10 Race Day Instructions

Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club are delighted to welcome you to the 2022 Battle of Clontarf 10.

After a three year absence due to the pandemic restrictions we are very proud to bring back this event and host the Leinster 10 Mile Championship.

We hope you all enjoy this race but we ask you to review these instructions to help us all enjoy the day in a safe manner.

Entries

Entries are open and available here. The Race begins at 10am on Monday April 18.

Number Collection

You can collect numbers for the Battle of Clontarf 10 on race day from the collection point located close to the red stables in St. Anne’s Park. Number collection shall be available from 8.45am.

Getting to St Anne’s Park.

The race is entirely based inside St. Anne’s Park, Raheny. The Start/Finish area and race intro point are located at the top of the main avenue of St. Anne’s Park.

We highly recommend the use of public transport with St Annes Park, Raheny served by;

St Anne’s Park is served by Dublin Bus routes H1 and 130.

The closet bus stops are; Park Lawn, Stop 1769 and All Saints Park, Stop 651.

On the Dart, Raheny is located Northbound on the Howth/Malahide line from Dublin City Centre.

The Dart station is located approximately; a 20 minute walk from the main avenue of St. Anne’s Park.

There is limited parking available in St Anne’s Park red stables car park and surrounding the park.

Race Facilities

A bag drop is available behind the finish line and will be open from 9am.

Public toilets are available at the Red Stables close to the start/finish area.

Race Time

The Race gets underway at 10am sharp.

All finishers will receive a goodie bag including plaque for participating in the race.

Prize Presentation

There are two prize presentations for this race from both the host club and Leinster athletics.

The medal presentation for the first three men and women in the Leinster championship will take place shortly after the runners have completed the race.

The prize presentation for the top five men and women and individual age category winners (host club) along with the medal presentation for the Leinster championship will take place after 12 noon.

How to watch

If you are a supporter, there are a number of spectator spots on the course where you will be able to see the race pass.
