Eric Favors just missed out on the shot put final at the 2022 European Championships in Munich.
Favors finished 15th in Monday morning’s qualifying round. The top 12 progressed to the final.
The national record holder improved throw by throw, unfortunately his best and final throw of 19.71m was just short of qualifying.
Favors becomes the seventh Raheny athlete to compete at the European championships in what has been a superb season. Favors set a new national record of 20.50 meters this summer. No doubt the we will see back at another major championship soon.
The next Raheny athlete in action is Brian Fay in the 5,000 metres final at 8.08pm on Tuesday.
