Spring Takes Leinster Junior Gold

Shane Spring took gold at the Leinster junior cross-country championship in Ratoath.

It was double medals for the club as Adam Condon took bronze. Matthew Glennon took silver. The team were just five points off a medal with Spring and Condon joined by Dara MacRiocaird 34th and Lorenzo Zurru 50th.

Mullingar Harriers took gold with 55 points followed by Kilkenny City Harriers second and Tullamore Harriers third. KCH took silver on countback.

In the men’s novice championship the team took 10th place. The team was Shane Fitzgerald, Eoghan Keegan, Robert Kelly and Rory O’Sullivan. The non-scoring team members were Davey Duane, John O’Sullivan, Hugh Cronin and Souvik Ghosh.

Roisin Leahy was the first shamrock home in the women’s novice in 22nd place followed by Aoibhe Rooney and Deirbhile O’Keeffe.
