Kirwan Leads Raheny Home In Dublin Marathon

Mark Kirwan was the first Raheny Shamrock athlete home at the 2022 Irish Life Dublin marathon as the race returned after a three year absence.

Kirwan clocked two hours 32 minutes and 46 seconds for 30th place. Graham Ahearne was second Raheny man home in 2:32.54 and Chris Quaid was third man home in 2:49.13.

Kate Purcell was the first Raheny woman home in two hours 47 minutes and 29 seconds, to finish as 10th woman overall. Purcell was sixth in the national marathon.

Fiona Stack was second Raheny woman home in 3:02.10 followed by Aine Crimin in 3:05.07.

Results are pending from Dublin Athletics, Athletics Leinster and Athletics Ireland. Once results are confirmed we will announce them.

Well done to everyone who took part in Dublin. It’s good to be back running at home!
