Men’s Team Take Indoor League Final Sixth Place

The Raheny Shamrock men’s team took sixth place at the National indoor league final at National Indoor arena today

The men went into the final ranked seventh and collected three wins in total. Mark Smyth saw off Colin Doyle of Leevale to win the 60m’s in 6.83 seconds.

Juan Ignacino Pena won the 1500m in 3:52.78 comfortably ahead of John Travers in 3:57.54.

Colm Bourke won the triple jump with a best of 13.86 metres ahead of Nenagh Olympic’s Brendan Lynch who jumped 12.45m. Bourke took second in the long jump with a best of 6.89m. Leevale’s Sam Healy won out with a best of 7.04m.

The men’s 4x400m took second place having won their heat in 3:29.26. The team was Conall Rogers, Juan Pena, Oisin McCorry and Luke Murphy. Clonliffe won heat two in 3:29.13 to take nine points.

The team collected four points in the 4x200m and with Conall Rogers in the 800m.

Also competing were Oisin McCorry (400m), Emanuel Osas (WD), Tanaka Mukanya (HJ), Liam Sheehan (SP), Samuel Ayni (200m) and Luke Murphy (3000m).

The team finished sixth with 63 points some way off bronze medallists Nenagh Olympic with 85 points, Leevale took silver with 94 points and Clonliffe won out with 110 points.
