Mark Smyth produced an international victory winning the 200m at the Tilburg meet in 21.09 seconds on May 29.
Smyth finished second in the 100 metres in 10.44 seconds with an illegal wind speed of +2.6.
At the Dublin graded series round four held in the new UCD track on Saturday, Andrew Hyland won the 1500m B men’s race in 4:04.96 nearly two seconds clear of David Gormley of DSD.
In the women’s D race, Jenny O’Sullivan was second in 5:19.84 with Aoibhe Rooney posting 5:30.90. In the men’s D race Vengatramanakarthikeyan Meiazhagan took second in 4:44.30 followed by Mark Salmon in third place in 4:44.98. The race was won by Alex Hanrahan of Blackrock in 4:40.68.
In the field Paul Curtayne was third in the high jump with a best of 1.40 metres.
