Masters Medals At National 10 Mile

There was masters bronze medals the Irish runner 10 mile road race, which doubled as the national 10 mile championship.

The women’s masters 35 team took bronze. The team was Tara Kennedy, Mary Walsh and Rose Kidd. The men’s masters 35 team of Sean Kelly, John Shanahan and Colm Cassidy took bronze.

The Raheny Shamrock results were; Rob Frewen 56:45, Steo Butler 56:45, Sean Kelly 58:06, John Shanahan 58:31, Colm Cassidy 59:59, Terry Keogh 61:02.

The men’s team of Robert Frewen, Steo Butler and Sean Kelly took fourth place. The women’s team of Sinead Currie, Helen Carr and Karen Slye were eighth.

The 50+ master’s team of Oran Herron, Keith Fleming and Anthony Lee took fourth place.

Elsewhere at the Brandon Bay Run on the beach, Tom Loftus clocked 45:13 and Orla Gormley 45:14 in the 10k race. In the half-marathon Angela Charlton posted 2:05.10.

At the Duleek 10k, Gareth Hogan posted 39:51. While Ger Fay posted 59:53 at the Donadea Forest 10km and 98:10 at the Castleblayney 10 mile.
