Crowley Takes Dublin Intermediate Bronze

Kate Crowley took bronze in the Dublin intermediate cross country leading the Raheny team home to silver medals.

Crowley was just behind Cristin Scollard of DCH and silver medallist Donore’s Juno Gerolmo-Feeney.

Aisling Ahern was fourth overall finishing just seven seconds behind Crowley.

With Blaithin Sheil 13th and Sarah Deneher 20th as the Raheny team totalled 40 points, just two points off gold medallists Civil Service. Bronze went to DCH some 21 points behind the Shamrocks.

The non-scoring team members were Clare Fox 22nd, Sharon Keilthy 25th, Seona O’Keeffe 27th, Sorcha Delargy 33rd, Aoibhe Rooney 36th, Clodagh Foley 37th.

There was heart break in the men’s race as just two points separated the men’s team from bronze.

Ronan Wogan was first home in 10th place followed by Vengatramanakarthikeyan Meiazhagan 14th, Barry Meehan 16th and Davey Duane 38th giving the team 78 points.

Liffey Valley took the bronze medal with 76 points, just two points ahead of the Raheny team. For the record, Clonliffe Harriers took gold with 21 points and Brothers Pearse took silver with 44.
